Portland Fabric User Group

A gathering place for data pros, analytics leaders, AI aficionados, and Fabric champions.

What We’re About

The Portland Fabric User Group (formerly Portland Power BI User Group) is a cohort of people who are genuinely excited about how Microsoft Fabric brings together business intelligence, data engineering, advanced analytics, databases, and AI into one powerfully integrated data platform.

We’re a cool mix of professionals—curious newcomers, seasoned experts, and everyone in between—who meet up monthly to swap stories, try new features, and keep leveling up together.

Whether you’re building semantic models or playing with Fabric Copilot, this is the place to grow with others who are just as into it as you are.

“Gregory’s dedication and leadership make the Portland Power BI User Group truly invaluable. He brings in great speakers, answers questions with patience and respect, and keeps us connected to the broader Power BI and data community. His passion and generosity have inspired me and my colleagues to drive 120 miles just to attend.”

Why You Should Join Us

Get the good stuff no one’s posting about

Our sessions go beyond the surface. You’ll hear from folks using Fabric in real-life projects—not just slide decks.

Solve challenges with the pros

Our speakers don’t just present. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and solve challenges with these experts.

Connect the dots across data and AI

We help each other make sense of how all the pieces jell together, with plenty of lightbulb moments along the way.

Grow your skills with the help of real humans

No gatekeeping here. This is a group that loves learning together and isn’t afraid to ask questions.
